چکیده
We focus on a distributed learning problem in communication network, consisting of N nodes and central parameter server (PS). The PS is responsible for performing the computation based data received from nodes, which are transmitted over multiple access channel (MAC). objective function this sum local loss functions nodes. This has gained attention field sensing systems, as well area federated (FL) recently. However, current approaches to solving rely assumption that continuously differentiable. In paper, we first address case where does not hold. develop novel algorithm called Sub-Gradient descent Multiple Access (SGMA) solve MAC. SGMA involves each node transmitting an analog shaped waveform its subgradient MAC, receiving superposition noisy signals, resulting bandwidth-efficient over-the-air (OTA) used update learned model. analyze performance prove it convergence rate centralized large networks. Simulation results using real datasets show effectiveness SGMA.

Reliable Computation over Multiple-Access Channels
In the standard multiple-access problem, a central access point needs to reconstruct the signals observed by each user separately. Suppose now that the access point only reconstructs the sum (or any other function) of these observed signals. For this problem, we develop strategies and information-theoretic performance bounds. It is shown that in general, separating source from channel coding le...
متن کاملOn $\ell_p$-norm Computation over Multiple-Access Channels
This paper addresses some aspects of the general problem of information transfer and distributed function computation in wireless networks. Many applications of wireless technology foresee networks of autonomous devices executing tasks that can be posed as distributed function computation. In today’s wireless networks, the tasks of communication and (distributed) computation are performed separ...

متن کاملAnalysis of Coded FHSS Systems with Multiple Access Interference over Generalized Fading Channels
We study the effect of interference on the performance of coded FHSS systems. This is achieved by modeling the physical channel in these systems as a block fading channel. In the derivation of the bit error probability over Nakagami fading channels, we use the exact statistics of the multiple access interference (MAI) in FHSS systems. Due to the mathematically intractable expression of the Rici...
متن کاملOn the Performance of Energy-Division Multiple Access Over Fading Channels
In this paper we consider a multiple-access scheme in which different users share the same bandwidth and the same pulse, and are discriminated at the receiver on the basis of the received energy using successive decoding. More specifically, we extend the performance analysis from the case of additive white Gaussian noise channels (presented in a previous work [9]) to the case of fading channels...
